    1) Guns kill people, people murder people. Murder is based on intention, therefore, a person is still a murderer even if he gets someone else to do it.

    4) It already is allowed with a conceal and carry permit.

    Handing out condoms to prevent AIDS is like handing out bullet proof vests to prevent murder.

    1) Both. But David is right, murder is based on intention. So ultimately it is the person responsible. Though there are lesser degrees of murder such as manslaughter. It still has consequences but you wouldn't get the death penalty for that.

    4) It is proven statistically that when people are allowed to carry concealed arms, crime rates go down. You're not going to go rob someplace if you know you could be shot. Even though chances are you won't be shot, the thought of it is a deterrent.

    4. Just like the death penalty...even though I'm strongly against it, that is pretty much the only argument FOR the death penalty.

    4. @David: Another few pro-death statement arguments are it eliminates the possibility of a dangerous criminal to escape, saves rooms in prisons, and gives the victim's families more closure.

    4. Do you know how few criminals escape from maximum security prisons? Neither do I, but it's not many. Saves room in prisons ain't a great one as many people end up sitting there waiting 10+ years to finish their final appeal. Closure? Prison is about keeping the public safe from criminals. Saying that someone should die so a family gets some "closure" is just absurd.
