In the US, the driving age starts at 15.5 in most states, with a full drivers license at age 16. In Europe and other places in the world, it starts at 18, and in others, none.

Should this be changed? Driving ages and drinking ages have proven to be very important went put together. How should, if it should, the current driving age be changed. Or is it about right right now?

Since I have my license already I don't really care. But I will say it was nice getting it at 16. I can't really imagine not being able to drive myself somewhere now. It is so convenient for me that I love it. Plus I have had no problems while driving, and statistically our age group has the least accidents.

Haha, actually it's not. We just came from learning how, and we are more observant and cautious when we drive as opposed to someone who has been driving for much longer who can go on 'autopilot,' which is where accidents will occur. By no means am I saying our age group doesn't get into accidents though.

    Young people are extra careful...?

"According to a 2005 survey of 1,000 people ages 15 and 17, conducted by the Allstate Foundation
More than half (56 percent) of young drivers use cell phones while driving,
69 percent said that they speed to keep up with traffic
64 percent said they speed to go through a yellow light.
47 percent said that passengers sometimes distract them.
Nearly half said they believed that most crashes involving teens result from drunk driving."
